Gloria Jean’s President Resigns Amid Struggles

The president of Gloria Jean’s Gourmet Coffees, a struggling unit of Diedrich Coffee Inc., has resigned to pursue other interests, Diedrich said Thursday. A replacement has not been named.
Diedrich, an Irvine-based coffeehouse operator and franchiser, said earlier this month that it expected to record noncash charges of $15 million to $18 million in the fourth quarter from closing 39 poorly performing Gloria Jean’s coffee stores.
