The City Council has approved a management consulting firm’s recommendation to expand the city’s staff, among other suggestions.
The city hired Sacramento-based Davis Co. in January to evaluate the organization of the Community Development and Public Works/Engineering departments. City Manager John B. Bahorski now will determine how the recommendations will be implemented over the next several years.
In addition to creating several city positions, the recommendations include streamlining the building permit process and monitoring contractor performance more closely.
