Shele Tamaki will take over as principal this fall at Harold Ambuehl Elementary School. She switched positions with Cheryl Spetrino, who has taken over Tamaki’s spot at Carl Hankey Elementary School in Mission Viejo.
Tamaki’s career in education spans 17 years. She began working in Capistrano Unified in 1990 as an assistant principal, and was principal at Carl Hankey for three years.
