Animation Seminar to Feature Writers, Other Professionals

Women in Animation-L.A. will hold a seminar Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 6353 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.
Writers scheduled to appear include Christy Marx, who wrote multiple episodes of “Spider Man,” “G.I. Joe” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”; Jeffrey Scott, who has had 500 projects produced, including Jim Henson’s “Muppet Babies” and the current PBS “Dragon Tales”; and Jack Enyart, who wrote many “Looney Tunes” episodes.
Other participants will include Hilary Bader, Shari Goodhartz, Martha Moran, Brooks Wachtel, Marlowe Weisman, Bobbi and Davis Weiss and other established writers, story editors, creative directors and agents.
An afternoon workshop will feature selected short scripts performed by the organization’s voice-over actors, with feedback provided by the professionals.
Admission is $40, $20 for members, $15 for nonmember students and $10 for member students.
