Chris Holden Seeks Legal Separation From His Wife

PASADENA — Councilman Chris Holden has filed for a legal separation from his wife, Michelle E. Holden, who pleaded no contest last year to sexual intercourse with their 15-year-old male baby-sitter.
Chris Holden, 39, the son of Los Angeles Councilman Nate Holden, cited irreconcilable differences with his wife of 10 years as the reason for the separation, said Chris Holden’s attorney, M. Lynda Sheridan.
Sheridan said the councilman is seeking joint custody of the couple’s children: Nicholas, 7; twins Alex and Austin, 5; and Mariah, 4. The couple separated last month.
The Pasadena councilman, according to county sources, is among those under consideration to be appointed Los Angeles County tax assessor.
Leo Terrell, an attorney for the ex-baby-sitter, who is now 17, called the legal separation a sham. The baby-sitter is suing Michelle Holden for allegedly inflicting emotional distress.
