Alan S. Kaye, a professor of English and comparative literature in the linguistics program at Cal State Fullerton, will leave for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to teach for seven months.
Kaye, a Fullerton resident and an expert in Arabic, will be teaching Introduction to Linguistics and English Grammar at King Saud University in Riyadh. He will also be conducting research on the Bedouin dialects of the Arabian desert.
In 1997, Kaye studied in Saudi Arabia as a Joseph A. Malone Fellow. The two-week study tour was sponsored by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations and was designed to help Americans better understand the Arab world through educational programs and fellowships.
