The city will go to court to defend itself against a $2.5-million lawsuit filed last month by a developer whose plans to build a drive-through Wienerschnitzel restaurant were rejected twice by the City Council. City officials said this week they have retained a special attorney for the case.
“At this point it doesn’t look like there’s a possible settlement on the horizon,” said Thomas Nixon, an attorney with the firm Woodruff, Spradlin & Smart.
