Parents of elementary school students went to Acacia Elementary on Saturday to disconnect old cables and install new ones in an effort to provide every room with Internet access.
Principal Connie Smith said students can benefit from learning how to use the Internet at a young age.
The new system will also enable teachers to e-mail one another within the school and district.
Local companies offered discounts on cables and connectors and some donated the items, Smith said. The Fullerton School District also helped, providing a filter for the Internet so students cannot access inappropriate sites.
