LAGUNA BEACH
City officials say residents still have plenty of time to express their ideas about how to shape Laguna Beach’s future. The City Council-appointed Vision Committee will host discussion workshops during the next two months at various community organization meetings. Committee members will record residents’ thoughts and incorporate them into the Vision Plan. A free booklet is available that outlines topics to help people make informed decisions, said Pat Berry, director of community services. The first draft of the Vision Plan--addressing such topics as traffic, tourism, street widths, housing, open space and business and retail development--will be completed this summer. The booklet is available at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave. For more information, call (949) 497-0798 or visit the Web site at https://www.visionlaguna.org.
