FULLERTON — A 17-year-old boy was arrested Thursday on suspicion of killing an Irvine teenager in what police said was a gang-related shooting near a Fullerton country club.
Police arrested the suspect at 10 a.m. at a Norwalk condominium complex, Sgt. Joe Klein said. His identity is being withheld because he is a juvenile.
Klein said the youth was being held at Orange County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of killing Russell Su, 18.
The suspect is believed to be affiliated with a street gang, Klein said, and more arrests are expected.
Police said Su and three other men from Irvine were shot at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday. The other three, ages 19, 21 and 21, are hospitalized with bullet wounds and their conditions were upgraded to stable Thursday, Klein said.
