A Trabuco Canyon woman was killed early Saturday when the car in which she was riding collided with a tractor-trailer at a Lake Forest intersection where the electricity was temporarily out, police said.
Lisa Marie Ross, 34, a back-seat passenger in an Isuzu Trooper, was pronounced dead at the scene, near Portola Parkway and Lake Forest Street, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Drivers of the Trooper and the tractor-trailer did not see the traffic signal and slammed into each other about 2:35 a.m., Amormino said.
The drivers and two other passengers, who were not identified, suffered moderate injuries, he said.
Police said the traffic signal was off for less than 20 minutes.
