Teen Rapist Is Sent to Home for Sex Offenders

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge Friday ordered a 14-year-old Palmdale boy to a group home for sex offenders for raping a 7-year-old girl, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.
The boy admitted attacking the girl as she was playing July 16. He was 13 at the time. Because of their ages, the children’s names were not released. The assailant was separated from his parents and ordered to live and undergo counseling at Rancho San Antonio in Chatsworth, said Superior Court spokeswoman Fran Burnett.
The court did not indicate how long the boy will stay there, but Burnett said his status will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
