Canyon Boys Rank No. 2 in Cross-Country Poll

Canyon Country Canyon High, which romped to the boys’ Division I title in the state cross-country championships last month, is ranked second behind Kingwood (Texas) in Harrier magazine’s final national poll.
It is the highest ranking by a boys’ team from California since Thousand Oaks ranked second in 1994.
Riverside Rubidoux is 19th after its runaway victory in the state Division II final.
Palos Verdes Peninsula is ranked seventh and Dana Point Dana Hills 19th in the girls’ poll. Peninsula upset Dana Hills, 150-158, in the state Division I final to win its second consecutive title and garner its second consecutive top-10 national ranking.
