A Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of shooting at two people as revenge against one of them, who allegedly had fought with his girlfriend, authorities said.
John Louis Spears, 27, was being held on $1-million bail Friday after being charged Thursday with two counts of attempted murder, said LAPD Det. Janelle Williams.
Spears allegedly approached the man and woman at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 5200 block of Knowlton Street near La Cienega Boulevard and fired six to eight shots, Williams said.
One man was in stable condition at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Williams said. The woman, who was possibly the intended target, was not injured.
