Man Shot to Death While Sitting in Van

A Palmdale man was shot to death Wednesday morning as he sat in a parked van with his girlfriend, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Lyman Guillory, 36, was parked in the 3600 block of Toscany Court when he was confronted and shot by one or several men at 9 a.m., sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Rick Myers said.
Guillory was shot in the upper torso and died at a nearby hospital, Myers said.
There was no immediate information regarding the motive or description of the assailants.
