The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park announced that groundbreaking ceremonies for its Children’s Zoo-Crean Family Farm will be June 27 from 10 a.m. to noon. Children will be admitted free during those hours.
The new area will feature interactive exhibits for children to experience what farm life was like in early Orange County.
The ceremony will feature celebrities from the Anaheim Angels and civic and community leaders.
The $3-million facility is funded by the nonprofit Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo, with donations from residents, businesses and the empowerment zone.
