Nixon Library to Feature Mount Vernon Models
- Share via
Two detailed models of George Washington’s Mount Vernon home will highlight a summer exhibit on the first president at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace in Yorba Linda.
The exhibit, “George Washington, Architect,” will concentrate on his life before the Revolutionary War. One of the models is of the Mount Vernon home he designed along the Potomac River in Virginia, which is a major tourist attraction today just south of Washington. A second model is of the estate’s wheat threshing barns, which Washington also designed. The exhibit runs through Aug. 19.
The exhibit opens today.
