A Whole New Spin on the City
It’s time for a new regime at City Hall, and every new regime generates its own list of what’s in and what’s out.
Out with Mayor Richard Riordan, the self-made multimillionaire who left his law practice to take office in 1993. In with Mayor-elect James K. Hahn, a 20-year public servant who takes office July 1. Hahn, the father of two young children, undoubtedly will bring his more low-key tastes to City Hall. What does the new administration bode for trends in the City of Angels, you ask?
