A 4-year-old boy drowned Saturday afternoon during a birthday party at the Santa Monica Mountains home of rock musician Tommy Lee.
Daniel Karven Veres, of Malibu, was found floating face-down in the shallow end of Lee’s pool in the 31300 block of Mulholland Highway at about 4:45 p.m., and was rushed to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Lee, a former drummer for Motley Crue, called 911 while two adults attempted to revive the boy, Deputy Alba Harrison of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said.
An autopsy on Sunday determined the cause of death was asphyxia by drowning, which was ruled accidental, Ventura County Deputy Medical Examiner Armando Chavez said.
