Healing Waters

I found “Salmon Runs a Sign of Healthier Delta” (Nov. 6), about the restoration of the salmon run on Butte Creek in Northern California, very heartwarming. Considering the history of interagency water district bickering and the cost, this project was no small feat. Kudos to all those who had the long-range wisdom to pursue this restoration project, especially the Metropolitan Water District.
Good things can happen when the various water interests work together to solve poorly designed water projects; indeed, we are learning from the past.
