Police Offer Classes on Department Operations

The Oxnard Police Department is accepting applications for residents interested in enrolling in the Citizen’s Academy.
The 12-week program will give participants an inside look at how the department is run. Classes begin Sept. 13 and are held each Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Personnel from the SWAT team, K-9 unit, gang enforcement unit and traffic enforcement will give presentations.
