Job Fair Scheduled for Older Workers

The Ventura Senior Employment Advisory Council will host the fourth annual Employment Fair for Mature Workers from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Technology Development Center, 5200 Valentine Road.
The fair will offer information on a variety of job training programs. Representatives from area companies will discuss employment opportunities.
“The career fair is a great opportunity for older or mature workers looking for a part-time job or wishing to change careers,” said Marcia Ortiz, Ventura’s senior services supervisor. Ortiz said the job fair will focus on finding work for people 40 and older.
Participants are encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared to meet with prospective employers. The event is free. For information, call 654-7745.
