Mowatt Runs Scoreless Streak to 87 Innings

Taryne Mowatt of Corona Santiago has pitched 87 consecutive scoreless innings after shutting out Corona Centennial on Friday. The Southern Section softball record is 91 innings (Tracy Compton, Santa Maria Righetti, 1981), before the 2001 season. The state mark is 126 innings, set by Fairfield’s Alicia Hollowell as a sophomore in 2000.
