Marine Corps to Study Boot Camp at El Toro

Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James Jones said Wednesday he has asked logistics officers to study the feasibility of moving the West Coast boot camp from San Diego to the former base at El Toro.
Jones said he has asked the deputy commandant for installations and logistics to prepare a report by the end of May.
Jones said he is interested in El Toro because it is big enough for all phases of the 11-week training course and has housing.
