* Leanne Pettinato scored 23 points for Rosemead, which broke El Monte Arroyo’s 33-game Mission League winning streak with a 52-45 victory.
* Kelly Leifer made seven of nine three-point shots for 21 points in Dana Hills’ 50-39 victory over Mission Viejo.
* Jamie DeKiewiet had 22 points and 13 steals in Hemet Baptist Christian’s 87-50 victory over Bloomington Christian.
* Amanda Patton made six three-point baskets and finished with 31 points in Newhall Hart’s 82-61 victory over Valencia.
CLUTCH
* Sophomore Nadine Izaguirre’s free-throw with 11 seconds left broke a 56-56 tie and Sienna Abraham added two more free throws in Oxnard’s 59-56 victory over Chino.
* Santa Monica St. Monica’s Taylor Hunt scored 11 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter of a 53-46 victory over Gardena Serra.
* Cindy Nantharong made two free throws with 14 seconds remaining to give Garden Grove Los Amigos a 43-41 victory over Garden Grove.
* Flor Morales had a steal and a layup with 18 seconds left to give Los Angeles Bishop Conaty the lead in a 54-51 victory over Glendale Holy Family.
MILESTONES
* Simi Valley’s Theresa Cooper scored 23 points against Newbury Park on Jan. 7 to break the school record for career scoring with 1,463 points. The previous record was held by her sister, Tawnee Cooper, who had 1,459.
LOOKING AHEAD
* Today: Key league games include No. 7 Torrance Bishop Montgomery at Playa del Rey St. Bernard and in a nonleague game, No. 10 Irvine Woodbridge plays at No. 19 Santa Margarita.
* Thursday: The most entertaining game of the week could be at Ventura, where the No. 8 Cougars play No. 12 Santa Barbara, which won the last meeting in overtime, 61-58.
* Saturday: The top matchups are No. 1 Lynwood at No. 6 Artesia and No. 3 San Clemente at No. 9 Brea Olinda.
* Monday: San Clemente plays No. 4 Fullerton Troy at Cal Poly Pomona.
