Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash

One driver died after his car collided with a pickup truck Monday morning at the intersection of Avenue J and Sierra Highway, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
Charles Heller, 58, of Lancaster was driving west on Avenue J; the pickup was going south on Sierra Highway. Heller was killed.
Investigators were trying to determine who was at fault, said Sgt. Chris Haymond of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
