Four sheriff’s deputies were injured when two patrol cars collided early Friday during a pursuit, authorities said.
Although the crash left the cars badly damaged and caused a brief engine fire, the deputies suffered only minor injuries, said Deputy Rick Varela.
The accident occurred about 2:45 a.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Bullis Road, Varela said.
The deputies were on their way to help colleagues catch a stolen-car suspect when the patrol cars crashed into one another, he said. The cause of the crash was being investigated. Other deputies in the area caught the stolen-car suspect, Varela said.
