Condo Residents Settle Lawsuit

Residents of an 82-unit condominium complex in Long Beach who accused the builder of faulty construction, including roofs, framing, floors, electricity and plumbing, settled their suit Tuesday for $3.8 million.
“These homeowners have suffered a very long time since buying their homes, and it is good to see the builder has finally accepted responsibility,” attorney Kelly Richardson said.
Guy Gagnon, the owner and builder, was sued by the Magnolia Place Homeowners Assn. in 1999. Gagnon’s lawyer could not be reached for comment.
