CardioGenesis Names Eckstein President, COO

CardioGenesis Corp., a Foothill Ranch maker of angina-relieving devices, said Thursday that it has promoted veteran senior executive Darrell F. Eckstein to president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Eckstein will report directly to the company’s chairman and chief executive, Michael J. Quinn, who also had been president. Eckstein, 44, joined CardioGenesis as vice president for operations in January 2001. He will remain chief financial officer until a successor is found.
