Why actresses of a certain age hate Hollywood

One of the startling sights in “About Schmidt” comes when Jack Nicholson appears beside June Squibb, who plays his wife. Squibb is 67 to Nicholson’s 65, a significant departure for an actor who, on screen and off, prefers the company of younger women.
After an early age-appropriate marriage to Sandra Knight and some peer-to-peer long-term relationships, the actor hooked up with Anjelica Huston (14 years younger), Rebecca Broussard (26 years younger) and Lara Flynn Boyle (33 years younger). Here’s how Nicholson compares with some recent co-stars.
