Supervisors Delay Plans for Health-Care Cuts

The Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to postpone a decision on cuts to the county health-care system until January “pending further discussions” with state and federal officials.
State and federal authorities have discouraged hopes for a bailout, but county officials believe bids for aid will be helped by the passage earlier this month of Measure B, a tax to fund trauma and emergency centers.
