Burglary Suspect Dies in Crash After Pursuit

A suspected burglar was killed early Friday when his pickup truck rammed into a car at Victory Boulevard and Lindley Avenue, police said.
Two patrol officers had spotted the man carrying a cash register from a closed convenience market about 4:45 a.m.
Police gave chase, but backed off when they saw the man driving 60 to 70 mph, said Sgt. Rene Zavala of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The name of the 36-year-old man, a Sun Valley resident, was not released. The other driver suffered a broken collarbone.
