A Marina High School coach was fired after school officials determined that he was involved in videotaping the girl’s shower room, officials said Wednesday.
Brian Akian, 27, of Huntington Beach was dismissed Monday as an assistant walk-on coach at the school, where he had worked about seven years, said Carol Osbrink, assistant superintendent of the Huntington Beach Union High School District.
The tape was discovered Friday by an employee who reported it to the Marina principal. Huntington Beach police said they are investigating, but no charges have been filed.
It was unknown when the tape was recorded.
Akian could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
