Patina Group will operate Disney Hall dining facilities

The Patina Group, which runs the restaurant operations at the Music Center and several other Los Angeles cultural institutions, will operate the dining facilities at the new Disney Hall when it opens next year.
Those include a cafe and an upscale restaurant on the ground floor of the Grand Avenue site, intended to appeal not only to concertgoers but also to other downtown residents and visitors and to lunchtime patrons from businesses in the area.
But Patina’s new deal with the Music Center is even broader than that.
Patina chef and founder Joachim Splichal will be involved in developing a new restaurant at what is now Otto’s and in remodeling the fifth floor dining facilities at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to allow for the flexibility of offering restaurant dining, cocktail parties, receptions and opening-night parties.
Patina, a subsidiary of Restaurant Associates, runs the food services at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Hollywood Bowl.
