From Staff and Wire Reports
Two psychologists who examined imprisoned serial rapist Patrick Ghilotti say he continues to present a “substantial danger” to society and should not be released, according to court papers filed Thursday.
Ghilotti, the first sexual predator to complete a state-mandated treatment plan, as a result could face two more years in custody.
Alan Charmatz, a Marin County prosecutor, said defense attorneys now will decide whether to pursue a jury trial to challenge the finding. Ghilotti, 46, remains locked up at Atascadero State Hospital.
