Political Meltdown

First we had a power crisis that caused brownouts and blackouts in California. Next we had Gov. Gray Davis signing tens of billions of dollars in long-term power contracts at unreasonable prices. He justified them to prevent future blackouts. Sunday, in Fallbrook, and possibly other places, on a day when the thermometer reached 110 degrees, the power was cut off for three hours at the hottest time of day. Please, Gov. Davis, don’t try to save us again; we can’t afford it. I’d rather have the alternative.
