County to Test Dam’s Warning Sirens

Ventura County’s Office of Emergency Services will test its 11 emergency warning sirens for Casitas Dam beginning at noon Wednesday.
For 10 minutes, a series of chimes, sirens and voice messages will be heard in an area stretching from Casitas Springs south along Ventura Avenue to the ocean.
The voice messages will be in English and Spanish.
The test is one of four throughout the year. The next test is scheduled for July.
