Forget about Shaq’s aching toe. Forget about Kobe’s sore knees. Completely disregard the mediocre regular-season record. When the playoffs arrive, the Lakers are still the team to beat. Any team hoping to win the NBA championship understands that they must go through the Lakers.
Charles Barkley says no one can beat the Lakers four times in a week. He might be wrong, but I doubt it.
