* The Falls: A 30-foot waterfall gives this new spot at 8210 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood its name. At one time, the building was the home of Charlie Chaplin. Chef Seth Meo, formerly of L’Orangerie and Le Deux Cafe, is at the helm in the kitchen.
* Breadcrumbs: No, it’s not a bakery but a new place in Old Town Pasadena, at 49 E. Colorado Blvd. Owner Victor Sarkissian is fine-tuning his California-Mediterranean menu, with a focus on thin-crust, Italian-style pizzas. Stephen Gialleonardo is the executive chef.
* Rockenwagner: Chef Hans Rockenwagner’s namesake restaurant at 2435 Main St., Santa Monica, is about to turn 18, but not without a makeover. He’s remodeled one part into a traditional, 80-seat brasserie, debuting this week. Next month, he opens a 20-seat restaurant space that’s a more intimate version of the old Rockenwagner.
