L.A. Administrator Named Serra Principal

A Los Angeles Catholic school dean will be Junipero Serra High’s first principal when the school opens next fall, officials announced Tuesday.
Thomas R. Waszak will leave Loyola High after 23 years to join the 1,800-student Catholic school.
Tennessee educator Stephen Hammond was named principal two years ago but returned to the South for family reasons, officials said.
