Man Killed by Truck in Oxnard

An Oxnard man was hit and killed early Tuesday when he ran into the path of a pickup truck, police said.
Emilio Navarro, 74, was trying to cross the 800 block of West 5th Street at 5:50 a.m. and ran into the path of the truck, officials said. He was pronounced dead from multiple injuries a short time later at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, according to county coroner’s officials.
The truck’s driver, Victor Gonzalez, 36, of Oxnard, was not cited.
