Public’s Help Sought in Hunt for Slaying Suspect

Police sought help Thursday finding a man suspected of killing 21-year-old Jerry Earl Lankford, who was shot in his parked car on Christmas Day last year as his baby daughter sat in the back seat.
The shooting took place about 5:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of Chesapeake Avenue, just west of Crenshaw Boulevard south of the Santa Monica Freeway.
