Flyers Defeat Canadiens

Magnus Ragnarsson and John LeClair scored 2 minutes 6 seconds apart late in the third period to lift the Flyers over the host Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, Monday night.
Ragnarsson scored with 3:19 left to tie the score, 2-2, and LeClair scored the winner at 18:47 when he tipped Eric Weinrich’s shot past Mathieu Garon.
LeClair has 30 goals and 17 assists in 32 career games against Montreal. The Canadiens traded him to the Flyers in 1995.
Colorado 4, Washington 1 -- Andrei Nikolishin scored at Denver against his former team to help the Avalanche stretch its unbeaten streak to six games. David Aebischer stopped 22 shots, 12 in the third period, for the Avalanche.
Ottawa 2, Boston 2 -- Glen Murray’s breakaway goal 6:45 into the second period gave host Boston a 2-1 lead, but the Senators tied the score with 3:39 remaining in the period on Wade Redden’s seventh goal this season.
