Mark BEDOR’S letter to Calendar (Dec. 6) concerning Hugh Hefner and Playboy cannot go without a response.

First off, he raises that ridiculous canard about the legions of porn addicts abandoning their wives for it. No doubt there are men who spend too much time looking at erotica, but people can become addicted to just about anything, such as alcohol, chocolate, gambling and even religion. The point is, true porn addicts make up a very small percent of porn viewers.

Worse than his tired arguments is Bedor’s nasty slur in calling all the women who pose for Playboy “high-priced whores.” No gentleman he.
