3 Plead Not Guilty in Robbery Deaths

Three men pleaded not guilty Thursday to capital murder charges in connection with the deaths of two people in a hardware store during a botched robbery Dec. 17.
Estrada Jorge Martinez, Alejandro Quinares Viveros and Jorge Flores Sandoval are being held in Los Angeles County Jail without bail.
They are set to return to Superior Court on Feb. 4.
Authorities said the men walked into Marce’s Hardware near 45th and Main streets in Los Angeles with guns drawn. Store owner Claro Cortez, 44, pulled a gun and fought back, but he and customer Vincent Fredericks were fatally shot.
