Gov. Gray Davis called Friday for more education and job training for lab technicians and researchers in life science fields as part of a plan to help California’s economy.
Davis said he will work with K-12 schools, community colleges, universities and the state’s biotechnology research industry to train and employ more lab technicians.
Though offering no specifics on funding, Davis said he is “looking at every available source of money” to support and expand the life science work force.
