Two men have been arrested in connection with a marijuana farm in upper Ojai where Ventura County sheriff’s deputies found 1,321 mature plants, authorities said Sunday.
Mark Bautzer, 42, of Palm Springs and Michael Gale, 45, of Mexico were arrested Thursday after the plants were found inside two sheds on Bautzer’s property on Sulfur Mountain Road.
Bautzer, who was the subject of a similar raid at the same property in 1998 but was not arrested at that time, told authorities the pot was being grown for medicinal purposes.
