Russian ballet: Aleksei Ratmansky, a Russian choreographer and dancer, has been named artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet, and French architect Dominique Perrault has been chosen to design a new theater for the Kirov Ballet.

On the beat: CNN could lose one of its key reporters, congressional correspondent Kate Snow. She’s negotiating to jump to ABC News, where she will be a White House correspondent for “Good Morning America.” ABC declined to comment, but insiders said the deal is expected next week.
