Glow-in-the-Dark Camels for Safety’s Sake

Israeli police say they are sticking phosphorescent safety strips on the camels of the Negev desert to make them more visible to drivers, after a growing number of nighttime crashes.
Yossi Golan, a police commander in the eastern Negev, said 40 camels were fitted with the strips Tuesday; as many as 1,000 more could follow.
