Army Ad Campaign Also Moving Forward

The Army is pressing its advertising campaign amid the Iraq conflict, stirring patriotic fervor in young Americans who could be the soldiers of the future. A dramatic ad featuring gritty soldiers and inspirational messages is airing repeatedly.
“War is probably the military’s strongest recruitment tool,” said Jack Myers, editor of an advertising newsletter.
The Army has tailored its campaign to tie implicitly into the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The campaign was created by Chicago advertising firm Leo Burnett, a unit of Publicis of France.
